Leaders Surround Themselves with the Right People

You are the average of the 5 people you hang around with most.

Do you have the right ones around?

Rested.

The right people...

Surround yourself with people who understand, accept, appreciate and even encourage you when you show them it's normal behaviour to:

  • go to bed at 9:30pm

  • wake up at 5:45pm

  • turn the TV off and read instead

  • analyze the data from your sleep tracker into an excel spreadsheet

  • cut out alcohol

  • fill the morning coffee maker half with decaf beans + half with regular beans

Fueled.

The right people...

Surround yourself with people who understand, accept, appreciate and even encourage you when you show them it's normal behaviour to:

  • toss a few egg yolks in the green box because the extra fat doesn't fit your macros

  • put asparagus into your omelette

  • make 5 lunches on Sunday night

  • only eat half a protein bar because a full one is over your carbs

  • spend money on a reverse osmosis water filter

  • chop up veggies at work so they are fresh

Ready.

The right people

The single biggest challenge facing the world now is finding people. The pandemic had people make life changes and your next hires got used to:

  • working remotely/in hybrid models

  • getting free money to not work or work less

  • being told subpar performance was acceptable

  • cost of living and minimum wage going up

  • spending more time on social media seeing other with fancy job titles
