Leaders Hit Reset

When you blow it, start again

written by Jason Chenard

Success is not about those who pass or fail.

It is about how any times you can fail, get back up and try again.

Each failure is a lesson learned;

giving you an advantage you have over those who didn't fail.

Rested.

When you blow it, reset.

  • There will be parties, drinks and cake.

  • There will be sick kids, neighbours who wake you up and stressful days.

  • Some of these sleep barriers will be within your control, others not.

  • Instead of sulking, reset.

  • Make the next night count, starting now.

  • Plan the right evening meal, dim the lights early, unplug the cell phone and read 30 minutes before bed.

Fueled.

When you blow it, reset.

  • Again, there will be parties, drinks and cake.

  • There will be stressful days where you don't feel like meal planning.

  • Some of these sleep barriers will be within you control, others not.

  • Instead of sulking, reset.

  • Make the next meal count, starting now.

  • Plan the next day's food and pre-fill 2 water bottles.

Ready.

When you blow it, reset.

The greatest leaders fail just like the mediocre ones. The difference is their drive to reset when things are not going well. They compare themselves to their gold standard and start fresh.

In a future offering, I'll host a bootcamp (webinar style) and show some valuable pharmacy performance metrics. Check out a snippet here.

PS: When feeling off unplug & reset
